March 20, 1998... Daily Variety reports that Will Smith and Whitney Houston are attached to star in screenwriter Tom Flynn's romantic comedy Anything for You for Universal Pictures. Flynn, who is also attached to executive produce, will receive high-six figures against an excess of seven figures for his involvement. It is unclear when the film will begin shooting. Houston would be available to begin lensing in the fall, sources said. Smith has a number of other projects in the mix, including Universal's superhero project The Mark. Universal won the rights to the script following heated bidding from a number of studios including PolyGram's Interscope Communications, Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox.
