WebPasskey Changes ------------------ WebPasskey 3.0 ========= Release 3 04/14/99 ========= Netscape missed links --------------------- In Netscape, sometimes WP would try to enter the information before the form had completely been drawn and then it would be erased. This also happened occasionally in IE5 as well. Internet Explorer 5.0 Compatibility ----------------------------------- WebPasskey's create link and custom-fill features stopped working when using with IE 5.0 browser. These problems has been resolved. ========= Release 2 03/11/99 ========= Auto-Start when IE starts ------------------------- In Ver 3.0 R1, the feature that was supposed to auto-start WP with IE4 stopped working. This was because the installation program started putting the WPIEHlpr.dll in the \Windows\System subdirectory. However, WPIEHlpr.dll was looking for WPasskey.exe in the same subdirectory so it couldn't find it. ========= Release 1 02/01/99 ========= Auto-Fill feature ----------------- - WebPasskey automatically fills in virtually any web form including your name, address, phone, credit card and email. (This feature requires IE4.0 or Above. If you are using Netscape, you can WebPasskey's custom- fill option.) Help File Updated ----------------- - The Help file was updated to version 3.0. WebPasskey 2.0 ========= Release 4 11/13/98 ========= Intellimouse Scroll Fix ----------------------- - Fixed the problem where WebPasskey would disable the Intellimouse scrolling wheel. Flywheel Fix ------------ - Fixed the problem where WebPasskey would cause the Flywheel cursor to disappear when used with Netscape 4.07. QuickBook 6.0 Fix ----------------- - When WebPasskey was loaded and QuickBooks (QB) 6.0 was run, as soon as the "Enter Login" screen appeared, there would be a GPF in QuickBooks. This has been fixed. WP can't enter the username but it does enter the password okay. E*Trade Fix ----------- - On the new E*Trade page, WebPasskey stopped linking. This page is strange because the fields can move around slightly. Now WebPasskey saves the field name so that even if the field move, it can still link okay Revert Feature Added -------------------- - Removed "Exit Without Save" and added "Revert" option. - Revert works since the last time the data was read or manually saved. The AutoSave function doesn't affect the operation of Revert AutoSave -------- - Automatically saves the data file every 2.5 minutes if there have been any changes. ========= Release 3 10/28/98 ========= Restore data fix ---------------- - Fixed problem where WebPasskey couldn't restore data from backup copy of data file. WWQuote site fix ---------------- - Fixed problem where WebPasskey didn't work with WWQuote site. Localized network PW box fix ---------------------------- - Fixed problem where WebPasskey didn't work with Internet Explorer password boxes on non English version of Win95. No password auto-logon prob --------------------------- - If you had WebPasskey setup without a master password and chose the "Logon automatically using the Windows logon information" option, and if you typed a password in Windows, it wouldn't logon to WebPasskey automatically. - Fixed this so if WebPasskey doesn't have a master password, any Windows password would work ========= Release 2 08/26/98 ========= Extra beeps in Win98 -------------------- - Everytime a browse window was opened under Windows 98, WebPasskey would beep. Uninstall from Control Panel ---------------------------- - When uninstalling WebPasskey from the Control Panel, add/remove program option, WebPasskey uninstall program would give an error "Internal error, unable to load or call external DLL". SmartMoney site fix ------------------- - On the www.SmartMoney.com site, auto-linking wasn't working. This was caused because it is loading a banner ad last so WebPasskey was getting the wrong URL. Save printer settings --------------------- - If just the printer settings were changed and nothing else, they wouldn't get saved on exit. ========= Release 1 07/20/98 ========= - This is the initial release.
