To remove copies of outgoing mail messages
By default, Outlook Express saves copies of the mail you send in the Sent Items folder. To save disk space, you can change this setting.

On the Tools menu, click Options.

On the Send tab, clear the following check box: Save copy of sent messages in the 'Sent Items' folder.
Tip

If you stop automatically saving copies of mail, you can still save a copy of a message by typing your e-mail name in the Cc box when you compose the message.
