Well Gerard, it looks like you just got caned good bud! You have a right to your beliefs, but you don't need to take potshots at the rest of us who disagree with you.
There is one thing I disagree with Cara on though. I like it at my place of work, too, and I have many friends there, no complaints against my bosses. However, that twice-a-month paycheck is a major-mondomundo reason I make the 20-odd mile treck from Bedford to Dallas Monday thru Friday. I'll put it this way: I won't get out of bed during the week unless I'm paid, and Dallas gives me bad vibes, consequently, I won't touch Big D with a ten-foot-pole unless you pay me. [They can keep Greenville Avenue AND Deep Ellum!!!]
If I remember right, Joey Stalin said he won't work for free, either. Bills every two weeks and no income? Sheeesh! Merely thinking about that puts a 20-hour burn in my stomach just like jalapenos do! Money ain't everything but your life sucks without any. Overhead don't go away cause you're broke.
McDonald's and the other chains may be good places to work, but if they tell me "You're workin for free", I tell them "No way!"
