What a mild mannered bloke you are Mike. Most people are content to fire off safe in their anonymity. Anyway I think it is right that whatever you may think of the product the young person behind the counter should not be held responsible for the policies of the employer.
I did telesales for 3 hours once before walking out on the job. I really believe that it is an invasion of people's privacy. I get an average of about 3 calls a week and it really annoys me. The boss the client and the employee are all profitting from disturbing me and I'm the only one who gets nothing out of it. I try to be polite but then I think if I can walk away from it so can they. There are some things that you just should not prostitute yourself to do. Telesales is one of them. The same goes for junk mail. The best way to stop it I find is if they include a pre-paid reply envelope simply empty your ash-tray into it and post it back on the grounds that if you send me your garbage I'll send you mine.
