In defence of McManagers. (A case against the crew?)

Looking back at the last few postings and many others scattered throughout this debating room, one comes to the conclustion that McManagers are heartless monsters. "Freaks," "Fuckers," "Bitch," and the like have all been used to describe me and my colleages. But what could possible drive a human being to be so bitter as to "abuse" the crew such as has been described here? Let's examine this, shall we?

Imagine yourself working in a McDonald's restaurant as a manager. You get to work, clock in, and walk over to the bin. The drive-thru screen is full, with times exceeding ten minutes, the bin is empty, as is the staging cabinet. The grill people are squirting kechup at each other instead of making food. The one person who is running drive-thru is having a nervous breakdown. Then, the sunday station blows a seal spewing delicious soft-serve ice cream everywhere. You are under-staffed, half the crew has called in "sick." To top it off, the owner walks in and bitches you out for the drive-thru times. Sound like fun? It is.

Have any ideas why we get a wee bit pissed? Good help is so hard to find. All I've ever asked for was for a few people with some intellegence and a teeny tiny work ethic. Is that so much? I don't know how many times I have had to stop some super-genius from contaminating the food we serve to the customers every day. Please, next time you read a post from some whining little jack-ass, be fair. Don't condemn the manager before considering the other side of the story.

Thank you for your time.
Joey
