Because it's unprofessional, that's why!!! This has nothing to with skin color or other physical features beyond your control. Obviously enough shows to where the customers might notice.

I can understand the owner wanting to maintain a professional image. I can tell you right now...this definitely would not be tolerated where I work (I work at a bank).
