studying the differences

There was a story on one of the morning news programs that compared the U.S. economy to that of Europe. It showed a group of workers striking for six-weeks vacation time and free trips to a spa in Germany. It seemed to imply that these demands were quite commonplace among European workers. Would that implication be correct? I'm not critisizing, I am just interested.

Also as I understand it there is no minimum wage law in England. Is this also correct?
