I agree. Sarah's views are public on this subject and it may be that the editor is concerned about the sort of thing Bengt suggests here. When I talked about "real reasons" this is partly what I had in mind. With respect, Sarah does not sound like a seasoned journalist with a lot of experience. So there may be other reasons for the editor not to publish the article eg. lack of originality, too personal a view, lack of suitability for target audience etc etc. I again advise Sarah to try to get to the bottom of the matter. It'll help develop experience and journalistic skills.

How can you say that with such confidence when you do not know all the details and reasons. You don't even know the contents of the article.
