Earlier today, the New York based multinational religious publishing
corporation, the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York Inc,
attempted again to close down the Watchtower Observer site in Norway. This site had been publishing critical material revealing, amonmgst
other things, the corporation's anti-semitic activities in 1930s Germany, deception and published copies of their secret operations manuals.
Kent Steinhaug, the journalist who runs the site, has been the subject of writs and mail attacks before, but reacted today with relish at the prospect of forcing senior executives into the witness stand and being able to have secret material disclosed publically.
The Watchtower, like the Scientologists, operates behind a religious facade, but acts in the same manner as all the other (mainly US) multinationals, trampling on local cultures, playing on ignorance, and trying to censor free speech. Messages of support to telemark@online.no
