: This argument that a campaign against a burger chain opening at the :new gym at a university is limiting freedom of choice is completely :defunct. The only freedom of choice offered by Hungry Jacks is the :choice of several very similar tasting high-cholestorol low-fibre :hamburgers, served with the essential symbol of globalism, Coca-Cola. :The problem is Western consumerism, and indeed over-consumption, (as :typified in the hamburger chain) and the aim of our campaign is to :educate people so that they will not want to participate in the :mindless worship of big business. Anyone that eats at Hungry Jacks :has no idea how much the workers are being paid to cook the foodWorkers are paid (In Victoria, I'm not aware of other states) $6.35hr for casual, 20% less for part time, (Level 1 employees) McDonalds pays less.

Also, have you ever considered ASKING someone at the counter what ingredients are in it. Shit man, Do you have an IQ of 19 or something?
:and certainly no knowledge of the bigger global picture such as the :effect that the demand for hamburger beef has had on areas such as :South America.
Duh, Meat doesn't get imported into Australia from south america for Hungry Jacks or McDonalds. Next time you walk into Maccas, look at thier wraps... HOLY JAMS BATMAN!! 100% Australian BEEF!!!
Look at a box of meat at hungry jack's... GREAT SCOTT!! 100% Australian Ground Beef. Are you uninformed or just plain dumb? South America, you dick. Think for a second mate, Australia does actually have cattle. We are not just one big city. Open your god damn eyes, don't condem till you know all the facts. So until you do, don't even open your mouth.
: A University should not resemble a Westfield shopping-town, it :should not be a place where teenagers are exploited to fry up our :food.
No one said to a teenager, "Get your arse in there boy and make my food" Kids do it for the money and the social life. These sorts of jobs are very rewarding for them, and really the money comes in second place. If they want to be making the big bucks, and not frying food, they are more than welcome to work at Woolworths/Kmart/etc.
Open your friggen eyes.
None.
