I grew up in Michigan here in the States. The town I lived in was Battle Creek. This is where the cornflake was invented by Dr. Kellogg and where his assistant C.W. Post decided to started his own business. In this town cereal is the life blood of the city. More to the point the money flowing from the Kellogg coffers is the blood in the veins of my city. Early in the decade, Kellogg decided that Battle Creek was going to remain their corporate headquarters, but they needed the town to fit its image. Since that time they have pumped several million dollars into the infastructure our town. They have equally forced competing corporation out of town. They were afraid of losing their cheap summer labor that is provided by students to a amusment park that had its eye on our town. They forced that company out by threatening to leave if the city council didn't refuse permits to the amusement park. Kellogg has given huige sums of money "improving" Battle Creek, but is it for the better or is it just the corporate world buying people lifes and souls? None.
