Where do I buy my next CD player from?

Someone has commented that we should be able to live without CD's. Sorry mate, but I love my music - as Tim Booth of James said "Music is the most powerful median in the world" - I have loads of CD's ,and will continue to buy more of them - after all, ok they use a bit of plastic, but they're much more of a long lasting form of pleasure than fags 'n booze! I know Sony are an awful company, and will never buy a machine from them , but I don't see what is wrong with Philips, Yamaha etc, or countless British makes such as Cambridge, Arcam, etc...., especially if the hi-fi is bought from Richer Sounds, not from some naff outllet like Dixons or Curry's.
