: I have been working at a Mcdonald's in Ohio for one year and eight months. I have just resently recieved my first raise o f just TEN CENTS I am now making a whopping $4.85 an hour. The assistant manager has been promising me a promotion but no one else has said anything about it to me. My store manager just found out from another manager that I am quitting after graduation in June and she told the manger that she didn't want to lose me but there was nothing she could do about my raise.I just bought a car (which took me forever to save up for) and already had to drain my bank account to pay to get it fixed. They are all mad because i'm leaving to go to a full time job that pays $5.50 an hour with benefits and RAISES!!!!

I have to wonder if you ever discussed your lack of any raises at any time during your employement. I don't know if you worked for a corporate owned store or a franchisee, but the corp. guideline is wage review every 6 months. Of course franchisees are free to modify guidelines as needed, but really, did you ever say anything?
