So I'm an egomaniac?

Luke, if you want ego, check out David Lee Roth, ex-frontman of Van Halen, or Pink Floyd's ex-leader, Roger Waters (At least Roger has a right to be egotistical, in a way.). And then there is Donald Trump, who thinks he's God's gift to the world (Ross Perot, too!).

My point on McDonald's is there is nothing wrong with making money, providing the public with what they want to buy. This is not to say that I agree with everything regarding the Corporation. In fact, there are a few things I disagree on. The franchise owners have little, if any, autonamy when it comes to business decisions, they're on their own when it comes to securing a mortgage and a line of credit (Many other chains offer assistance in securing financing), and the royalty rates to the Corporation are high, like other chains.

Furthermore, I think the stockholders need to give this Jack Greenburg guy the boot and install somebody who has better business since. Give the marketing department staff the heave-ho with him. "My McDonald's" - "Did Somebody Say 'McDonalds'?" - Give me a break!!! I hope the next CEO is sensitive to the needs of the owners. Hopefully he will listen to their ideas for more innovative and original products. The Egg McMuffin, after all, was created by a franchise owner, and it's good!

Getting back to this ego bit, I never claimed to be Mr. Guru, but I'm not a dumb piece of shit, either!

Have a nice day.
