: : Does anyone think McD's, or other businesses should be liable for medical expenses if you are injured while on their property--buying their merchandise?

: As long as a business or public organization uses reasonable care, I do not think the public has the right to expect more. We need more personal responsibility for our actions rather than blaming someone else and calling the closes attorney. Grow Up! Stop blaming all your aches and pains on someone else. Accidents do happen in real life no matter what precaustions anyone takes.

Dee, I am grown up!!I own and run two companies and carry insurance in the event someone is hurt in my place of business. Reasonable care is the issue, to build two story plastic slides that hurl children down at a very fast pace while not monitering the situation is not reasonable. I cannot control someone else's child--only my own. To have these playgrounds unattended is not reasonable care--public pools hire lifeguards, amusement parks have attendants at the rides, McD's invites children in, gives them the happy meal toys, provide a playarea but don't provide saftey!!! YOu go grow up girl and get your naive head out of the sand!!! One day it maybe your child that is spared serious injury because I fought to better the situation!! If parents hadn't spoken out through the years we might not have flame retardant P.J's, seatbelts, airbags, childsaftey seats, warnings for age appropriate toys or labels for adult intended materials, ie records movies etc!!!
