: : Gideon ...all I can say...coz i don't wan to waste my breath agruing with a winger is....GET A LIFE< MATE!

: Why is "whinger" the term always used by the ignorant to describe someone saying something they don't want to hear?

Firstly because you IGNORE the fact that each McDonald's system around the world is AUTONOMOUS IN ITS OWN RIGHT. You fail to admit that these
are isolated incidences relating to ONLY your area of the world. Business decisions made my McDonald's Australia are made by Austalians and in relation to the companies the work with - ie. BROWNES DAIRY, FJ WALKERS ( Which is renowned for its highest in quality contol! and is a leading example to how this part of our system should be run ).

Secondly, i thought it was fitting since you are from the UK....consider it an Australian colloquial term. Probably originating fom Ashes matches.

: As for "getting a life", I consider it ironic, to put it mildly, that a McDonald's manager is telling me to get one...

: : You know jack sh** about mcDonald's Austalia's operations. We pride ourselves on being committed to being THE BEST McDonald's operation in the world.

: Actually, I've probably read more on McD's operations _worldwide_ than you have. Sorry to disillusion you. In my opinion, the best McD's in the world would be no McD's at all. Hence my remark in my previous post.

I SAY IT AGAIN...YOU KNOW NOTHING about AUSTRALIA's operations! Australia..you've never been here to see..so you cannot possibly know.
Not worldwide.....coz I'm not talking about the rest of the world.
: : its unfortunate your little brain cannot comprehend that some people/businesses DO have integrity and loyalty to their profession....regardless of size and popularity.

: No doubt some of the Nazis felt truly that they were a force for good and racial purity. If my behaviour argues a small brain, how does the behaviour of someone who defends their employers (without even looking at any of the issues under dicussion) come across?

WE'RE TALKING ABOUT LOCAL BUSINESS HERE. AND I'M TALKING ABOUT SINCERE BUSINESS OWNERS WHO HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHATEVER VEHICLE THEY SO PLEASE TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE GOALS, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS THEY DESIRE. Gee, It's funny how the last time I went to visit one of our Ronald McDonald children - with a cronic illness I don't recall examining my plot to brainwash the child! Small brained because you acuse us of manipulation and propaganda. I happened to enjoy and learn from that experience. If it wasn't for McDonald's those kids wouldn't have their families around them 24hrs a day. THAT'S SMALL-BRAINED!!
: : Each individual restaurant works hard ...as i do each day to make MY customers happy. i have regular customers ..I know their names and we always catch up. THEY know we care...and they love coming back for our breakfasts....fee coffees and a relaxing environment. If they are happy it makes my day just a little bit more enjoyable.

: I'm not pretending to be any more of a person than you, but this is _your_personal_experience_. To try and apply it to "Each individual restaurant..." is an unsustainable claim. Since you don't happen to know what goes in the next street, let alone the next town, how can you justify that claim?

I've worked at many stores in my neighbourhood and am quite up-to-date with what happens from day to day. its called 'networking'. Its called regular customer feedback. through customer evaluations and suggestions, critique and complaints. each piece of information provides us with better knowledge of how we stand and what we can do to improve our operations.

You always come back to the whole corporate gain thing. hey so what! Its called FREE ENTERPRISE..I'm glad Ray Kroc had such a vision. Its people like Ray Kroc who have vision..those who dream big and set out to achieve their goals. I don't see you slam other fast food outlets.
Besides.....we each are our own success story. The decisions you make determine your success. Some choose to follow the pattern already paved out by those who have proven it works! Your arguments may be valid in YOUR country, in YOUR isolated incidences...but that has nothing to do with what individuals with vision, integrity and inspiration running successful businesses across the globe. Everything is relative.

: (I'm not saying your customers are unhappy. I'm saying that your corporate business practices are greedy, unhealthy and wasteful and lead to an unhealthy diet and cruelty to animals. You can find evidence on this site - evidence that stood up in a court of law).

Maybe in the UK Gideon, but all our eggs are purchased from egg companies that you find at your local supermarket. Our beef is 100% pure AUSTRALIAN. We take responsibility for our own produce and the manufacturers who provide them. Strict quality contol procedures remain in place. THATS WHY WE ARE NO.1...THATS WHY WE OPERATE THE BEST SYSTEM.
AND WE HAVE THE RESULTS TO PROVE IT.

If you had a McDonald's in Malaysia...or another thrid world country our stores operate in...the food their would be over 100 times more safe that eating in a lot of the stingy , scary places around. Because our quality contol and food procedures are so good.

If you take a closer look and examine where OUR ( Australia ) produce
is purchased/ manufactured by...you will quickly see that these items are just the same as purchasing them for yourself and the local supermarket.

I often eat McDonald's 2-3 times a day...partially because I'm there 8 hours a day..and am on the floor running shift. I also balance it out with rice, cereal at home. Its common sense..anyone can get into an unhealthy eating habit..by not having a balanced diet...not by where we eat our food from. McDonald's food does provide basic dairy, carbohydrates, protein. Our brochures are there to remind customers of this and to reassure them that what they are eating is equal to what they would normally buy in a supermarket anyway. So.....if you want to attack this point realistically...attack the supermarkets....THEY have a far geater impact!
