Quincunx, this is a case of Mickey being another anti-customer, anti-management whiner. He sounds like one of those who bitches about everyone and everything. Even the perfectly ideal working environment, which I haven't found yet, wouldn't be enough to please him. He'd find something there to whine about, also. I've been around people with his kind of attitude.

As a consumer, I've witnessed the best and worst of fast-food, and other managements. I've met many managers who are good to their crew, and customers.

I don't believe that management and employees should remain in separate factions. That doesn't do them any good, or their customers. Better communication and discussions, formal and informal, like BK manager Jules and others talk about, are good steps in the right direction for a livable work environment.

But again, nothing is perfect, everyone is going to have a few tasks that are not fun, there will be customers who their is just no pleasing, and even the best leaders are going to have a temperamental moment on occasion.

People like Mickey are just going to have to grow up and accept these facts. If there are serious problems at his McD's, then he needs to get his crew together, and discuss them with his managers. And if things don't work out, then it's a lost cause, and he needs to look for a transfer to another McDonald's or perhaps another chain franchise.

But honestly, there are many good people in the leadership roles, which doesn't get acknowledged much around here. And again, Mickey sounds like someone who just plain has an attitude when it comes to any authority, someone who doesn't want to be bothered just wants to do his thing even on the clock.
