: I have worked for this joint for 3 and a half years and it isn't what everyone expects it to be (all the good food and meeting new people). It sucks. no benefits. no free meals for anyone. just a half off meal. wooooooopeeeee. we need to pay bills too u know. this really ticks me off now anyway. it didn't 3 years ago. now that bills are piling up i can't stand even looking at McDonald's. i think i speak for all the real CREW PEOPLE..........

So, why are you still working there? At the risk of insulting you, I think I can understand why you are still an "underpaid, unappreciated" crewman. To paraphrase Mike Bedford, stop whining and start performing like you have some potential for supervisory or management positions. And while you are at it, take an introspective look at yourself. How's your attendance record? Do you display a positive attitude (remember, you are in the customer service business)? Your appearance? Are you hard working? Etc, etc..

Obviously, one of the most important traits management looks for in their employees - loyalty- is completely lacking in your case. As long as you are taking a paycheck from them, you at least owe them that much. That's not to say, however, that you have to put up with abusive behavior, either from your supervisors or your customers. But before you complain to your co-workers (or in a public forum like this) talk to your supervisor, and if he/she doesn't give you a satisfactory response, take it a notch further up the chain.

If you honestly measure up in all these traits and you are still dissatisfied, go find another job. With our lowest unemployment rate since 1973, there are plenty of them out there.
