: 1- it is now called RMHC short for Ronald McDonald House Charities.: 2- RMHC may be funded mostly by the public but the money that comes from that public also goes back to the public in the form of grants from RMHC and benefits the children of that area. It is also partly due to the McD executives that big companies like Scott and Six Flags donate money to RMHC
: 3- The Charity also helps fund ronald Houses that house families of sick children at nearby hospitals. Don't knock the the reasons that RMHC is here,
: you may one day have to take advantage of it.
I think it's also important to note, that the entire McDonald's family
does donate to RMHC and not just in terms of money (which it does) but
also in terms of personal involvement.
I speak as one who has regularly joined in and spent my time and energy at the House (Spring Fling, House picnic, cooking meals for the children and families staying, etc...).
It's not just lip service.
