: Everett we'd need solidarity across nations and industries there has never been a general strike across the world. What do we do when they wheel in scab labour like in the Dublin Lockout? And when they use their hired armies to shot us down like in the Dublin Lockout, the case of the Mully Maguires or the miners of Bolivia?

: The folding of arms has a very necessary place but who is gonna defend you while you do it? Remmber they killed the wobblies leader.

EC:
Friend and comrade,
Just a couple of points. There is no wobbly leader, we are all leaders. Everyone in the world is a leader. They have killed a good many wobblies, but we are still alive.

Acting prematurely (folding ones arms before there is sufficient support) certainly won't work (except for small incremetal gain in a specific situation). But for a general strike, it must include all. There will be very few scabs to pull the triggers or pop the tear gas canisters if they join us in the walkout. The scabs in all of these instances were truly ignorant of the real deal. Increasing awareness by talking and acting will help to build solidarity. But solidarity cannot be acheived by just a few!

Talk it up, show people the truth. These things can snowball, and when people see the truth, they will indeed act in their common interests. You cannot force them!
