: Ladies and Gentlemen,: Some of the articles by people who legitamately claim to be socialists (none of whom mind you are legitimate) have made me disgusted. How dare you continue to corrupt and trample upon the true, just, and rational system that has saved mankind from the Dark Ages! Capitalism, unlike socialism, is a system that bases itself upon the nation of a PERCEIVED REALITY, and not upon the fanciful mystical doctrines of altruism, mysticism, zen buddhism, and free love & peace.
#1: You say that we, as 'illegitamate socialists' disgust you. Fair enough, I can't ARGUE with your EMOTIONS and REACTIONS to us. But fair being fair, I have a question for you: Do you agree with 'legitimate socialism' then? Because you didn't mention 'legitimate socialism' anywhere in your message. It seemed as though you were just fed up with 'socialist fakes'. Which is fair, may I remind you.
#2: Since when did free love and peace become a BAD thing? And since when is this idea 'fanciful'? Aren't we supposed to strive to be the best we can possibly be? Are we expected to just sit here like rabbits, ACCEPTING the injustices of capitalism simply because we think we're 'not capable of deserving any better'? Perhaps this society has been under the negative capitalistic influence for so long, that it doesn't even realize that there is an alternative. It's as though we have come to accept povery, pain, injustice and war as being 'givens' in any society, and therefore we should just 'put up with it'. The whole 'C'est la vie' attitude. Well, I for one believe that we as humans, and as the world, can and DO deserve better than this and no I am NOT going to just accept capitalism because 'a better world will never come about anyway'. NO. This is our world and we deserve the best we can possibly get. And the world WILL become ours once again! Solidarity, Comrades!!! Unity!!!
