Right on, Comrade! Of course no well-off person would consider socialism (communism)! They have everything to lose by sharing their wealth with the world! But the reason WHY socialism would work is because it doesn't NEED everyone to agree, just an OVERWHELMING MAJORITY. And as we all know, rich people are few and in between. The poor working class outweighs the wealthy by A LOT. So, if the world became socialist, and these rich people decided that they weren't going to play along--SO WHAT? WHO CARES? Nobody would MAKE them play along--they could just lounge around if they pleased--there would be more than enough workers to provide goods for all...a few scattered lazy people wouldn't be bothersome. Think of all the excess goods we have NOW, even in a capitalist world where millions of people are unemployed. And besides, I doubt that these lazy people would stay non-productive for long--they'd start to get borded, or feel guilty, or un-human. Few people can actually feel good about taking hand-outs, as they would be doing. But still, as I said, it wouldn't matter even if ALL the rich people went on work strike. Society would keep on moving, with or without them! Thank you!
