Who's thinking and who's been brain-washed?

I've been following the messages on this fantastic site nearly since it started and what is apparent to me is how rational, humourous, intelligent and down right cool the people, who are obviously anti-capitalist, are.

While we are not exactly united in what we want to replace capitalism with (I'm with the socialists), since we are engaging in the kind of discussion as described above, the democracy we need to construct to accomplish the next system on our evolutionary path is in good hands.

Having said that, on the whole, the pro-capitalists seem to be speaking on what THEY know and how their experiences fit in with their model of the world. Now isn't that interesting?

Capitalism - everyone for themselves, thinking of themselves.
Socialism - everyone for everyone, thinking of everyone. (well, that's what we're struggling for anyway.)

I feel sorry for the thinking, intelligent capitalists out there trying to humanise "their" system - you are virtually alone.

Lastly, at the ripe young age of 25, I discovered activism. Suddenly I feel useful and have no time for boredom. Sort of what we want from life in terms of work wouldn't you say?

andy, activist.
