disgusting state of apathy and complacency

I would just like to applaud this argument against the 'human nature isn't good enough' comment. I think it's very sad that we've reached this disgusting state of apathy and complacentcy. I for one, believe that we as humans ARE better than capitalism and can reach any goal that we, united, set for ourselves. Since when has the world become so cynic???Could it be the 'learned helplessness' syndrome described in psychology textbooks? Has capitalism finally taken its evil toll on all of us???

To say, "well it's a good idea, but we'll never make it so why try?' is an insult to the entire human race and to every activist on this earth. Please rethink the 'we're not good enough' view because I truly believe that each of us ARE worth it, and ARE capable of making socialism work.
