First off, as a history major I am insulted by your statement that history repeats itself, if you can show me one instance where history repeats itself, I will still tell you that your wrong. History is a tool that can be used to make sure that we don't repeat our mistakes. What makes history are ideals and beliefs, and if you think that we have the same ideals in this country as we did even twenty years ago, than you are the one that needs to quit smoking up!As far as your opinion on Communsim, it is obvious that you have never gotten off of your butt and tried to learn exactlly what Communism is. You have just listened to the lies spewed by the government and media in this country. First off, the USSR was NOT Communist. The purpose of the government was to make sure that capitalism did not speard, so that when the technology in the country reached the correct point, Communism could be installed easily without a conflict. So now, I will try to use small words and enlighten (oops, too long) brighten (too long again) light up your shot glass of a brain.
The theory of how Communism will come to be is through the fall of capitalism. I hope you know that capitalism is based on competition. And the best way to compete, is to eliminate the competition. So evetually there will be only one capitalist left, this one person will control all work in the world, and will basiclly have all the money in the world. The workers will become fed up with this capitalist, so they will revolt. The workers of the world will unite and destroy the evil that is capitalism. Then all people will work equal hours for equal pay. The government will be very small, and will only exist to benefit the whole. All people will work to benefit the whole. To spell it out to you, there will be no more greed, no more poverty, no more homelessness, and no more racism. So if you are against all of those things, then I guess that Communism is idiotic!
