Joe, do yourself a favor and scroll through this board and other McSpotlight boards and read about this subject, talked about in great depth. Then come back to the top and we can engage in an intelligent conversation. It gets tedious to have to say the same things over and over, so read up.

: How would you measure success. Standard of living? What communist country has a higher standard of living than the US, Western Europe, or Japan? How about North Korea? China? Cuba? How about the old USSR or Eastern Europe 10 years ago. I don't care what the intentions of communism were. The results have not been positive for the billions of people who had to live under communist rule.
