Some are native plants or cultivars of north american natives (echinacia, yarrow, poppies), others are imports, none of which are displacing native or 'beneficial' species. The only 'mal monte' plants are the imported (and unwelcome) convolvulus (morning glory/bindweed) which is the most challenging pest to invade. But we keep up with it without the poisons the corporate world push by the truck load.

Please don't fail to see the relevance of the class struggle to sustainable agrarian society. Those 'people' that you lament as not listening are indeed hearing, but must hear it from many sources to validate it in their own minds. Keep being one source, and recognize others as delivering the same message. Or Del Monte will be all that's left!
