Josh lost me in the last paragraph big time. First of all, my functional definition of capitalism involves much more than the exchange of goods for money or whatever - there is a hierarchy with the greediest people at the top and the rest at the bottom, and this cannot exist in a democratic society, let alone an anarchistic society.

Second of all, while it is certainly a worthy goal to not partake in the murder and/or rape of animals, the only species we should worry about when we are talking about economic theory and stuff like that is our own - tell the guy at the bottom of the heap to stop giving his children meat because if he does he is supporting the system. I doubt that guy is going to be very receptive, and it is people like him that we should be worrying about. I say, be vegan if you can, and the rest of the population should focus on improving their own situation.
