Dear Sam and Siamak:
I've seen great postings from both of you and I must say I didn't expect to see this sort of clash. What both of you write (or type) about is great subject metter and much of it I agree with. So in a sense it's sad to see such a big disagreement over Lenin begin with Lennon and become sour lemons.
Perhaps it's because of time zones. Perhaps there's differences in perception of typed matter over an electronic medium.Maybe it's both.A discussion over Lenin can be accomodated over at the Wobbly Board but I'm still interested in a discussion over the alternatives to the capitalist system that has the entire planet in a diabolical vice.Over here there's a right wing element that displays a lot of cognitive impairment due to what I suspect is a bad combination of mass media bombardment, functional illiteracy and fears of "living in a socialism."Where I usually post there's less of that type of interference.
Due to the heatedness of the debate about Lenin I will risk getting flamed to a fine charcoal crisp and recommend that both of you read C.G. Jung's PSYCHOLOGICAL TYPES,C.W.6. In this volume are three short essays that both of you may find enlightening. They are:

1) Psychology of the Classical Age: The Gnostics, Tertullian, Origen

2) The Theological Disputes of the Ancient Church

3) The Holy Communion Controversey between Luther and Zwingli

They aren't exactly related to a discussion about Lenin or the centralisation of capital but nonetheless cast light on some problems that are pervasive in political discourses. Some may accuse me of
"psychologising" the issue and burn me because I mentioned Jung but what the heck. I was conjured out of thin air anyways....

(Here's a link) that I find interesting and which I hope you will like also.It may even get us on the way to discussing issues that will affect us in the future and maybe we won't step on each other's personalities over the past.
