: I get the impression Sam that you are more interested in character assassination of Leninist-Staliniststs to silence what you call the "Leninist aplogists" than a serious discussion of Leninism.

My "second hand sources":

Julius Braunthal, HISTORY OF THE INTERNATIONAL, 3 volumes
Ronald W. Clark, LENIN: A BIOGRAPHY
Johann P. Arnason, THE FUTURE THAT FAILED

and, since I actually encouraged you to quote some Lenin at us, it's hard to conceive that I am trying to "silence" Leninists. I've read plenty of Lenin, fine, it's on the Web now. So if I ever develop a real craving for a copy of "Left-wing Communism: An Infantile Disorder," I know where to go.

: I tell you genuinely that your argument does not look consistent to me or maybe it is not complete. What is this system that individuals at local levels will be "hooked" into?

If you're going to say my argument isn't "consistent," go ahead and critique one of my declarative sentences. But, to get back to your declarative question, with another question: In what sense do you think people need a more-than-local central system to be "hooked" into? Is the movement to free people from centralized production is going to run up against a real biological need for "hooking in" to a system? Since I'm not operating from your preconceived notions about political economy, to answer your question requires me to understand such notions as regards the matter of what people need.
