: I canÆt understand why you Americans are not happy. You live in the richest country in the world, you have the most opportunity in terms of work, you have the greatest choice in terms of the products you want to consume and yet you are not happy. IsnÆt being able to pick up a coke and a Big Mac on the way home enough?

... you're 'avin' a laugh mate, ain't ya?! you genuinely consider the 'choice' of a big mac and a can of coke the height, the paramount symbol of and the holy grail to be sought after to ... choice? what kinda choice is that geezer?!

yeah, yeah, the choice to eat the SAME burger everywhere, ANYWHERE in the world, the choice to experience the SAME happy burger family oh what a lovely reality this is eh father, fancy another burger son, remember they grow in burger patches! choice ... erm, now if you mean that this great and free land is symbolised by the Golden Arches, then sonny I couldn't and I won't agree with you more.

Anyway the rest of your message:

: Now does this mean that these workers are lazy, that they just donÆt know æhard workÆ, or does it show a general disillusionment in the respect and rewards these people are given for sacrificing such a huge part of their lives for their jobs? Over to you Yankie-Doodles....... ................

: BBee.

you gave some data on some goddam study or other ... and then you went and spoiled it all by asking the completely unfinished question above. what you should be adding onto that is: does all this data mean that people are finally fucked off with being fucked over? are people genuinely waking up to the fucked up world they live in and help create? are people fucked up? and: with the market now SO dominant, with the security of the workplace resting in largely temporary and short term contracts, with employment becoming more and more controlled through corporate policy rather than the protection and safegaurd of the worker ... does this mean that these poeples worries are cool, are they straight from the fact that they ARE worried that WE as a people are no longer living in the place where the 'INDIVIDUAL' was born?

If ever this was and if ever it might be, this land aint no land of the free and the brave was killed of a long time ago by some military lunatic.

Its sweet hearing people having all this respect for the land of apple pie but shit man, McD's and coke are the reason WHY people are disillusioned, want a better world an'all... the sad fact is that soooooo many good people believe that McD and coke 'made this country into what it is' - there be a shit laod of truth in this but they don't see it I can tell ya.

Ya hear me ... I AIN'T GOT ONE.
