Hitler adopted the name "National Socialist" to deliberately differentiate his ultra-nationalist regime from "International Socialism", a very real concern for every ultra -nationalist at the time.
: What is your point mike? Does this paragraph you have extracted from a book you once read and remember a few facts to indicate the overall view of Hitler's actions, theories and practices..Or is this simply another way for you to pull out a small portion of history to serve your own context?
My point is that comparing Samuel Day Fassbinder with Hitler is ridiculous!!! Hitler and Fassbinder are diametrically opposed on every subject addressed by Samuel on this board. So what was YOUR point in trying to compare the two?
: : 2) Stalin did not "force" the revolution, he merely capitalized on it, with a second revolution. Striking women (the 'bread' strike) and men fed up with 4 years of trench warfare in WWI filled the streets to protest, and the Czar had ordered troops to fire on them. They refused, and instead shot their officers, and the revolution quickly started. Stalin did not take power until the interim government was overthrown. Read up on the subject before you go off half-cocked.

Look into Stalin's relationship with Lenin and Trotsky and his role in the initial revolution as well...placing these things out of context is nothing more that a clever way to confuse an argument....come on mike, you can do better than that...
No, I'm not the only one who knows anything about it, and I will continue to learn all I can about it and all historical events. But Csarist Russia (like colonial America) were ripe for revolution. I'd say the Csar "forced" revolution by ordering his troops to fire on striking men, women and children. If this confuses you, maybe YOU need to read a book sometime.
