US Wild West history is doused in Indian blood. If that's
free market for you, let's look for some better solutions.
May I suggest that this isn't a contest between the US and
the rest, only an investigation into organising human
society in a better way. A 1996 report by the UN notes
that 358 people own just about what 45% of the poorest
countries own. In 1991 1100+ scientists, including 100
Nobel Prize winners, told the world we only had about 30
years to fix the world's environmental problems. Surely
these questions should focus everyone's thinking about
materialism, consumptionism and our concern for others.
Not left, not right, but beyond, using everyone's best
thinking, and our compassion as well.
