Dear Mr. Fassbinder,

A debate about whether Sovietism was a good thing (which I agree it wasn't), with it's corresponding anti-Communist witch-hunt is not a trivial debate no matter how you see it. It just so happens that many people still buy the same old story hook, line and sinker and it's important to try to understand why. We may not agree on some things but examining the propaganda system and trying to educate people about some things (such as red-baiting) may be helpful for you also.

I've been in many areas where environmentalists are hated and
shunned due to the deleterious effects of corporate propaganda. So
this is not a matter of who wins or loses in a debate on this page. It's
a matter of realizing that if there is to be a more democratic society
then we have a lot of work to do.One of those tasks is to recognize
how environmentalists and socialists become demonized by this
propaganda structure. That isn't trivial and if such a debate were to
move towards whether or not socialism is a possibility reminding
people of the fraudulent and false picture that corporate media
spoon fed to the public is essential.

Since you are a Green please tell me what you think of this website
and tell me how effective corporate propaganda can be on the
environmental movement. This union says they are democratic. I have
reasons to doubt that. Especially with this green-baiting.
