Handouts to the undeserving

Hi Capitalism supporters. Doesn't it just make your blood boil when
liberal/commie/pinko politicians in America defend welfare? Just
imagine, your hard-earned tax dollars going to support a bunch of
slothful, drug addicted [insert name of least favorite ethnic group]
parasites.

Well, here's some good news. Not all of your money goes to subsidize
the lazy. Most of it actually goes to those who really need and
deserve it: fantastically wealthy corporations. Just thinking about
it makes me glow with patriotic pride. For example, mining companies
don't have to pay royalities for mining on public land. Thanks to the
Mining Act of 1872, they can purchase these lands for about $5 an acre.
Not bad when you consider that they take out about 3 billion dollars of
minerals every year. How about the defense industry? Everyone knows
the world is teeming with rabid communists who want nothing more than
to destroy our American way of life. Not to worry--we can sell our
weapons to our anti-commie friends overseas for a mere pittance of
2.5 billion dollars in taxpayer subsidies. It's even on the installment plan, spread out over five years. A small price to pay for
keeping the world safe for democracy and multinationals.

There are many more examples, but why bother to list them all. Just
take it from Dwayne Andreas, president of Archer Daniels Midland, the
biggest agribusiness enterprise in the world. He makes over 2 million
a year, and always contributes to the Republican party. Here's what
he has to say about our economic system:

"There isn't one grain of anything in the world that is sold in a
free market. Not one! The only place you see a free market is in
the speeches of politicians. People who are not in the Midwest
do not understand that this is a socialist country."

Capitalist, finance thyself.
