Labels aren't important

Right comrades what do you think of this. It's a planned alternative that I dug up from some irish socialists but since we're all looking for a way out from capitalism I dont think labels are important.

*All foreign ownership of land would be banned and any such would be owners as now exist would have their land taken from them.

*All farming land would be run by co-operatives functioning independentally from the state along the lines of need.

*There would be widespread nationalisation of main industries and financial institutions; Personal ownership of industrial or commercial companies outlawed, the only means of opting out from state control would be by way of adopting co-operative organisation.

*The system of government would be decentralised, with administrations working for a central governing body; this body may be democratically elected following a transitional period.

*Compulsory membership of unions for citizens working in the private sector or for foreign (capitalist) firms, encouraqgement of membership to all other citizens (possibly by way of marginal tax breaks)

*The development of single issue groups and community commitees as independant regulators of the state.

*State appointed militias who could prevent military encroachment upon the peoples democracy;personal ownership of weapons in my opinion is unwise in my opinion but they could be held in a central citizens armoury.

All these points should be enshrined in a constitution which would also emphase liberty (freedom of speech etc.). The transition period would be one of serious debate (not propaganda, maxims or any other type of thought control) if everyone knows the facts they cant fail to be socialist and once every calous reality of capitalism has been exposed no one will wish to return to that system.

Capitalist argument can not stand against the facts and this would be the pillar upon any future society stands.
