However, most 'trotskist' parties have developed much in another direction than Trotskij's actual teachings, have they not? Very much like social democratic parties don't look like they did when the first one were founded by Marxists, Trotskij & Lenin, Martov, Stauning (Danish Soc.Dem. leader) and the rest. Parties evolve, but not always following their official ideology.
Trotskij can't be put to blame for what 'Trotskist' parties say, like Marx can't for 'Communism' and Adam Smith not for Pinochet and Hitler.
