Searching for a middle ground

The problem concerns the poor. Do you accept the notion that the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer? In which case what would be your solution to those who have less money than is neccessary to survive? Increasing welfare payments? Tax relief for lower earners? Or: Nothing... they should get a better job.

While I share your doubts about the 'equal pay for all' system, I can see weaknesses in the 'no limits on pay' system. I was asking if an inbetween state could be reached, whether it would be practical, and what effects this would have. If you scrape a little cash off the top earners of the scale and spread it out to the bottom earners, would this relieve some of the burden? There would still be enough leeway in the system to give people motivation for higher payed jobs, but the poor would be put under less pressure.

:Once again it sounds like the cry's of the jealous and the lazy.
Not all poor people are lazy. Not all unemployed people avoid work.
