: This doesnt happen in capitalism. The people with vast sums of money generally do nothing, yes that's no work at all!

You bring up an interesting question: What is work? What does it mean to "Do" something? Would anyone say that a fellow digging a ditch isnt working? Or working very hard for that matter? I dont think you would get much of a debate. This person is definitely putting in a rough day.

Then you take the owner of the ditch digging company. More than likely the guy never even picked up a shovel BUT he put together the company, he makes sure that there are ditches to be dug thus insuring that said ditch digger gets the pay check. How do we compare the two workers? The quick answer is to jump and say that the guy who spends his day on the phone does less work then the guy in the ditch. BUT the guy on the phone takes on much larger responsibilities and is less easy to replace then the guy in the ditch. The guy on the phone does more for the company; therefore, he is more valuable. HE IS WORTH MORE (to the company NOT as a human being).

The Dilbert philosophy is one of sour grapes and echos the cry of victimhood which plagues us. A fool and his money are soon parted and generally the people with the "vast sums of money" "work" very hard (harder than the guy in the ditch) to keep it.
