ABOUT
THE FILES
Many finalists submitted a playable demo called "Demo.exe" or
"Demo" (for Macintosh developers).
Detailed system requirements and installation instructions for demos are
in a file called "Readme."
Finalists who developed online games provided an exact URL of their demo.
Most finalists provided a .AVI or a .MOV low-res capture of their game,
and many of these files run on both Mac and Windows platforms. In some
cases, however, users of QuickTime may need the Indeo video 4 codec to
play the files.
You may install the Indeo codec from Apple at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/indeo/.
QUICKTIME USERS: TROUBLESHOOTING
If you try to play some of these .AVI files
through Netscape, Quicktime may play the audio and not the video. You
will need to Shift-Click on it to save the file to your local drive and
then play it through Windows Media Player.
