A reminder (optional) will display when the program is first run each day to show that there are notes that should be revised. Staged repetition has been shown to be one of the best ways to memorize information. (see REVISION help topic for more details) T4) Maintains a database of your favourite quotations, which can be browsed and searched by topic. The bottom three lines of each screen are context-relevant help, the next line up shows the keystrokes to use and the one above is for mouse users. ENTER for HELP INDEX "ESC to quit HELP ioMAINMENU pREVISION SECTION rResearchers have found that the best way to retain information is to review it at staged intervals such as: one day later, 3 days later, and after a week and then a month. This enables the memory to be refreshed just before it would otherwise start to fade. iBOOK STACK makes this process easy by means of a Revision Date for each Note Field. Every day you should run BOOK STACK and choose option 1 from the Revision Menu to see what needs reviewing. At this point you can reset the Revision Date by either a predefined period or by keying in a new date. UThere is a field called Previous Revision which is the number of days between the Next Revision date you entered last time and the PREVIOUS Next Revision date. So if the Previous Revision shows as 3 days it would indicate that you should now review in, say, 7 days - and therefore click on the 7 button which will add seven days on to today's date and put that date in the Next Revision field. Eventually, when you are sure you have learnt the material, you can select a Next Revision of NONE which will take the Notes out of the Revision System.
