SEVERAL B- AND C-CLASS FLARES OCCURRED DURING THE PERIOD, THE BULK OF WHICH WERE PRODUCED BY REGION 5261 (N18E48) AND NEW REGION 5262 (S14E21). REGION 5254 (S18W11) APPEARED TO ENTER A SLOW DECAY PHASE. REGION 5260 (N18W06) REMAINED IN A GROWTH PHASE WHICH BEGAN YESTERDAY, BUT HAS BEEN RELATIVELY QUIET THUS FAR.
