Native Instruments launches the Guitar Rig Hero video contest

Native Instruments just launched Guitar Rig Hero, a four-week
worldwide video contest that challenges musicians to demonstrate
their skills and creativity in combination with the Guitar Rig Hero
software. Hosted on a dedicated YouTube channel, the competition
features prizes worth over US$10,000, and is co-hosted by a jury of
international pro guitarists.

With YouTube already populated by a multitude of home-made Guitar Rig
Hero videos, Native Instruments now calls on all users of its digital
guitar studio to take their performance to the next level. The Guitar
Rig Hero contest allows everyone to compete for a range of prizes
including several Gibson guitars, a Quad Core-powered Fujitsu-Siemens
laptop, various NI products and more. A further reward is the
attention of the international YouTube community and of the
high-profile Guitar Rig Hero jury that features artists like
Deftones, Dweezil Zappa, Mogwai and many others.

Participants are asked to capture a video of their most original and
spectacular performance using Guitar Rig Hero, without any sonic or
artistic limitations applying. Musicians who don't own Guitar Rig
Hero can download the full-featured demo version from the NI web site
and use it for the contest.

Submissions for Guitar Rig Hero will be accepted until Sept. 30, and
the winners will be determined on Oct. 14. On top of the public
voting by the YouTube community, the artist jury will judge the 10
most popular entries for an additional grand prize.
