NAI (McAfee) (Total Virus Defence) VirusScan/Virex updates/upgrades


This directory contains update material from the NAI McAfee public
(unrestricted) servers.  It is covered by the NAI legal notice in the
file Usage.txt.

The directories

	virusdefs/4.x
	virusdefs/mac/virex

are mirrors of the corresponding directories on the McAfee sites.
They can be used as
	-- sources for the AutoUpdate tool
	-- alternative sources for the Mirror utility (e.g. to maintain
		a departmental mirror).

The additional directory

	virusdefs/4.x/autoupg

(not a mirror) is provided as a source for the AutoUpgrade utility
in VirusScan 4.5.1



Configuring AutoUpgrade

	FTP site:	either
			ftp.leeds.ac.uk/pub/mcafee/virusdefs/4.x/autoupg
			or
			software.leeds.ac.uk/mcafee/virusdefs/4.x/autoupg

	Use anonymous login
