The Fiery production color server achieves its phenomenal speed and throughput by combining a powerful architecture with innovative printing technologies. Blazing speed comes from custom ASICs--XJ+ RipChips™ that off-load data functions from the processor, a fast MIPS CPU, a high-speed parallel bus, and a secondary cache. Innovations such as Fiery DocBuilder™ Technology, Continuous Print™, Rip-While-Print™, and STARR™ Compression enable the Fiery Production Color Server to support true document set printing. Other features supported include file preview, merging and editing, fast reprinting of processed files, error-free printing, electronic collation and reverse order printing, and sorting and stapling -- substantially increasing throughput and user productivity.
