Product Overview

he Fiery SI™ is a cost-effective, standalone color server that combines Fiery's ease of use, brilliance and speed in a product optimized to print business documents. Based on the proven Fiery XJ architecture, the Fiery SI is optimized for printing business communications and presentations, making it practical and easy to produce documents integrated with color graphics and text.

The fast MIPS CPU is dedicated to Adobe PostScript processing, offloading data I/O processes to Fiery XJ RipChips.™ STARR™ compression, an advanced, dynamic compression technology combined with unique printing technologies, maximizes throughput on the supported color copier.

For brilliant presentations, eye-catching charts and graphs, and persuasive proposals, the Fiery SI features a full set of color management tools as well as system-level color management support for Microsoft Windows 95 and the Apple Macintosh. Intelligent conveniences, such as Fiery XJ Scan™ and AutoCal,™ make it even easier to attain professional quality color documents.

The Fiery SI brings unrivaled performance to business color printing, whether in the corporate office, graphic design field or the print-for-pay environment. Because the Fiery SI is a member of Electronics for Imaging's scalable product family, it can easily be upgraded when the need for increased throughput develops.

The Fiery SI was designed to fill the niche between EFI's product offerings of the Fiery XJ+ 170 and the embedded technology of the Fiery XJe controllers for color laser printers. EFI's experience with embedded controller technology enabled the design of the first multipurpose connected color solution at the lowest possible price point.
