DIRECTOR HARDWARE ENGINEERING

This critical position will be responsible for Hardware design and development for one of EFI's product lines. This position is accountable for ensuring delivery of hardware products on schedule and within budget so that EFI's products ship on time. A thorough knowledge of board design and development, ASIC design and development, and interface development is essential. The successful candidate will understand the implications of EMI and safety regulatory requirements; implement processes and procedures to hand over manufactureable products; integrate margin and reliability testing to increase the outgoing product quality testing to increase the outgoing product quality; develop strong leadership to form and manage, troubleshoot and write code. Additionally, this position offers on-going customer contact and interdepartmental interaction within EFI. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing a department of 5 to 15 hardware engineers and will have successfully brought products to market. Candidates should have a total of 10+ years in hardware engineering in a high technology company. Experience in design verification and organizational efficiency related to design needs is a must. The ability to handle multiple, competing priorities while meeting deadlines is essential, as is the ability to manage the requirements of multiple customers with short cycle times. Superior organizational and management skills are required. This highly visible position requires a commitment to exceptional product quality and teamwork. PCB DESIGNER

Responsibilities for this position include schematic capture, component procurement, PCB layout and route and design library management. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience as a CAD operator, as well as experience using schematic capture software. Must be able to read and interpret data books. PCB layout experience required. 3+ years experience with Allegro in the Cadence environment is preferred. AA degree or equivalent.
HARDWARE PROJECT MANAGER

Manage a development team that designs, develops and transfers to production new state of the art RISC based printer controllers. This includes project schedules, budgets and technical direction. Expertise with high speed ASIC and board design is required. Requires a BSEE (MSEE preferred), 6+ years exprience in product development and 2+ years of project management experience.
SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are looking for a sharp and creative Senior Windows software engineer to design and develop state of the art client applications for high speed color server/printers. Excellent programming skills in C/C++, MFC knowledge a must. Networking, WinSock, Device drivers, Windows NT, and Windows95 knowledge a plus. MS preferred. BSEE/CS required or equivalent.
PROJECT ENGINEER

The Project Engineer's primary role is to function as the engineering and technical interface to major EFI OEM(s). The responsibilities for this position include establishing/maintaining relationships with key OEM contacts, working with the OEM and EFI internal organizations to define and schedule products and release commitments, and subsequently managing the product development process with engineering, documentation, and quality assurance to bring the product to a successful release to manufacturing. Previous product development is required. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. Customer interface experience is desired. BSEE or CS equivalent and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required. Japanese written and spoken ability a plus.
PRODUCT PLANNING MANAGER

This position is responsible for product planning and development for EFI's Printer Controller business. Key responsibilities include leading and participating in product definition; identifying key market opportunities for the printer products: maintaining current status of customer requirements for existing and future products; developing business plans, pricing models, marketing strategy and forecasts. Requires at least 5 years of experience in the desktop laser printer industry, especially in the areas of business development or product marketing or engineering product planning is desired. Must have successful product releases in a high-technology company along with a technical undergraduate degree or equivalent; MBA preferred. Excellent judgment, initiative and a self-directed work style is key. The ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines is essential. Superior communication and organizational skills are also required.
QA MANAGER, TEST AUTOMATION

This position will encompass managing a small group to design and implement
a comprehensive automated testing strategy for our print servers. Key responsibilities
include writing automation on Mac, Windows and Unix platforms; you may also
implement a code-level testing program. You will work closely with the
QA Tools and Release group to streamline the entire testing process. Requires
a BSEE/CS or equivalent and 4+ years experience in QA. At least 3 years
experience leading or managing a team, and 2 years in test automation, preferably
in a mixed platform environment is essential. Must have knowledge of automation
tools (QA Partner, Virtual User & Visual Test), along with programming
skills. A successful record of setting up comprehensive automation efforts
is also needed.
