COPYING, MOVING, OR DELETING BLOCKS OF TEXT


 A. To copy a block of text to a new location,
    position the cursor at the start or end of the block to copy
    and choose Copy Block from the Edit Menu, or press ^C.  Use
    the cursor control keys to highlight the entire range to
    copy, and press Enter to select this entire range.  Now move
    the cursor to the desired new location and press Enter to
    complete the copy.  Try the following exercise:

    1. Copy the block from here.
            >>  Copy This Block  <<
    2. Copy the block to here.

 B. To move a block of text from one location to another,
    position the cursor at the start or end of the block to
    delete and choose Move Block from the Edit menu, or press
    ^B.  Use the cursor control keys to highlight the entire
    range to move, and press Enter to select this entire range.
    Now move the cursor to the desired new location and press
    Enter to complete the copy.  Try the following exercise:

    1. Move the block from here.
            >>  Move This Block  <<
    2. Move the block to here.

    3. Notice that this is the same as Copy Block above except that
       the original block is no longer present.

 C. To delete a block of text,
    position the cursor at the start or end of the block to
    delete and choose Delete Block from the Edit menu, or press
    ^E.  Use the cursor control keys to highlight the entire
    range to delete, and press Enter to complete the function.
    Try the following exercise:

    1. Delete this block.

    2. Delete this block too.
