Going Co-op is a solid, readable, nuts-and-bolts introduction to creating your own housing cooperative: selecting and financing the building; working out the legalities; keeping things democratic; and setting group policies, for example, the crucial issue of buying in and selling out. It includes a sample set of co-op bylaws (very important) and a sample occupancy agreement (even more important). I just wish the co-authors had placed more emphasis on the fact that even the best of contracts don’t hold co-ops together — friendships do. — Michael Castleman -- part contents for background part 23 ----- text ----- • WHOLE EARTH • COMMUNITY • COMMUNITIES • Community Politics -- part contents for background part 24 ----- text ----- 01002148 -- part contents for background part 31 ----- text ----- card id 177691 -- part contents for background part 32 ----- text ----- card id 177603 -- part contents for background part 33 ----- text ----- stack "WHOLE EARTH" stack "COMMUNITY" card id 21333 card id 38008 -- part contents for background part 28 ----- text ----- card id 38008 -- part contents for background part 29 ----- text ----- card id 176123 -- part contents for background part 30 ----- text ----- card id 178211
